RV Tips: 3 Easy Storage Options for RV Organization

As a full-time RVer, my husband and I have had our fair share of experience working on making our RV feel more like home. There are hundreds of ways to improve your RV to make it homier while you’re at the campground, and I’ll share my favorite RV tips below. These easy ways to add a little bit of luxury to your space will help you to relax and enjoy your time at the campground.

Start with Upgrading Your Bedroom

One of the best things we did for our RV life was to improve the bedding and organize the bedroom. Obviously, if you’re moving from a standard bedroom into an RV bedroom, there’s going to be less space to work with, but that doesn’t mean it has to feel cramped. One of the ways to improve this space was by adding a mattress topper, getting high-quality sheets and bedding, and putting rugs on the floor. Additionally, we took time to organize the closets and set up shelving or hooks wherever we could to add storage.

Get Drawer Organizers

This step can be a bit tricky because the drawers in RVs are not standard sizes. So, you’ll want to take some time and measure the drawers you intend to add organizers to before you go and buy the pieces. This is also true for any cabinet organizers you might want to add to the space.

Designate a Space for Shoes

One of the best things we’ve done for our space is to have a designated space for everyone’s shoes. This keeps us from tracking in dirt, sand, or mud and cuts down on the clutter. We use the coat closet just inside our door, but you can set up a basket by the door to give everyone a space to dump their shoes or pick up a shoe rack to make it easy to keep things off the floor.
